All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur, an autonomous organization functioning under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has announced a crucial recruitment drive for qualified medical and dental professionals. The institute is conducting a walk-in interview for filling 22 vacant positions of Non-Academic Junior Resident across various medical and dental departments on a purely ad-hoc basis for an initial period of 3 months.

Candidates selected for these positions will receive a competitive salary package in Pay Matrix Level-10 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations, with a minimum monthly remuneration of Rs. 56,100/- plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) for medical graduates. Detailed Post Information

Eligibility requirements are straightforward but mandatory. Candidates must possess an MBBS or BDS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or Dental Council of India (DCI) respectively, along with completion of the mandatory rotating internship. Most importantly, registration with the State Medical Council/Dental Council or MCI/DCI is absolutely essential before joining the institute. Without valid registration, selected candidates will not be permitted to take up the appointment.

The age limit for Junior Resident positions is set at a maximum of 37 years, with relaxations as per government rules. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for age relaxation up to 5 years, while OBC candidates can avail relaxation of 3 years. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities enjoy even more liberal age relaxation - 10 years for General category, 13 years for OBC category, and 15 years for SC/ST category candidates.

Application Fee Structure

Application fee varies according to category. UR, EWS, and OBC category candidates are required to pay Rs. 1,180 (including GST) through NEFT to the designated account of AIIMS Gorakhpur. However, SC, ST, PwBD category candidates and all women applicants are exempted from paying any application fee. The payment must be made to State Bank of India, Giridharganj Branch, Gorakhpur (Account No: 42368584553, IFSC: SBIN0018457) in the name of Recruitment Cell, AIIMS Gorakhpur.

Terms and Conditions of Employment

Important terms and conditions govern this ad-hoc appointment. The appointment is purely temporary for 3 months from the date of joining and can be terminated at any time without prior notice. The appointee will not be entitled to benefits like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, seniority, promotion, or any other benefits available to regular government servants. The selected candidates must serve as whole-time employees and cannot engage in private practice or any other paid assignment during their tenure.

Leave entitlement will be governed as per Department of Personnel and Training guidelines. The appointee will be required to take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of India upon joining. Selected candidates will not have any claim or right for regular posts in AIIMS Gorakhpur, and this ad-hoc cadre will not be merged with the regular cadre of the institute.

Document Requirements

Candidates are required to appear for the walk-in interview with a complete set of documents. They must bring their application in the prescribed format (Annexure 'A' and Annexure 'B'), along with self-attested copies of all certificates and testimonials including age proof, qualification certificates, experience certificates (if any), and three passport-size photographs. Original documents must be produced at the time of document verification and interview for verification purposes.

Government or semi-government employees must submit a No Objection Certificate from their current employer. Failure to produce NOC may result in disqualification from the interview process. The institute reserves the right to verify all documents and testimonials, and any discrepancy or false information will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature or termination of service if already appointed.
