How to Apply for HVF Avadi Junior Technician Recruitment 2026
Application Mode: Offline (By Hand or Registered Post)
Step 1: Download Official Notification & Application Form
Visit the official Department of Defence Production website: www.ddpdoo.gov.in OR Heavy Vehicles Factory Avadi official page; Navigate to "Careers" or "Recruitment" section; Locate "Junior Technician Recruitment 2026 - 220 Posts" notification; Download the official notification PDF; Download the prescribed application format (usually available as Annexure in the notification); Take printout of application form on A4 size paper.
Step 2: Fill Application Form Carefully
Fill the application form legibly in BLOCK LETTERS using BLACK INK only:
Section A - Personal Details: Full Name (as per 10th certificate); Father's Full Name; Mother's Full Name; Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY); Age as on closing date; Gender; Nationality; Marital Status;
Section B - Contact Information: Present Postal Address with Pin Code; Permanent Address with Pin Code; Mobile Number (10 digits, must be active); Email Address (valid and regularly checked);
Section C - Category Information: Category: General / SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS; Whether Person with Disability: Yes/No (if yes, percentage of disability); Whether Ex-Serviceman: Yes/No;
Section D - Educational Qualifications: 10th Class: Board name, Year of passing, Percentage, Roll Number; ITI/Trade Certificate: Trade name, Institute name, NCVT/SCVT, Year, Duration; Computer Certificate (if any);
Section E - Experience Details: Organization Name, Designation, Period (From-To), Nature of Work, Total Experience in years & months;
Section F - Trade Applied For: Mention the specific trade you are applying for (Fitter/Turner/Welder/Electrician, etc.);
Section G - Declaration: Date and Place; Signature of Candidate.
Step 3: Paste Recent Photograph
Paste one recent color passport-size photograph (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) taken within last 3 months on the space provided in the application form. Write your name and date on the back of photo before pasting. The photograph should have white background with full face visible.
Step 4: Arrange Documents in Order
Prepare self-attested photocopies of all required documents in the following order: 10th standard mark sheet and certificate; ITI/NAC/NTC/STC certificate with mark sheet (all semesters/years); Trade Apprenticeship completion certificate (if any); Experience certificates from all previous employers (on company letterhead with seal); Caste certificate issued by competent authority (if claiming reservation); PwD certificate issued by medical board (if applicable); Discharge certificate with PPO (for Ex-Servicemen); Domicile / Residence proof; Character certificate from Gazetted Officer or Head of Institution; Two additional passport-size photographs (loose); Self-addressed envelope with Rs. 50 postal stamp affixed (for communication).
Step 5: Self-Attestation
Attest all photocopies yourself by signing across each document with date. Write "True copy attested by me" on each photocopy. Ensure all pages are clearly legible and complete.
Step 6: Prepare Application Envelope
Take a large envelope (Foolscap size). Put the filled application form along with all arranged documents inside. On the envelope, write clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS:
Top Left Corner: FROM: [Your Full Name] [Your Full Address with Pin Code] [Mobile Number]
Center of Envelope: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR TECHNICIAN (CONTRACT) - [TRADE NAME]" Example: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR TECHNICIAN (CONTRACT) - FITTER TRADE"
Address To: The General Manager (Personnel & Administration) Heavy Vehicles Factory Avadi, Chennai - 600 054 Tamil Nadu, India
Step 7: Submit Application
Option A - Submit in Person: Visit Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi during working hours (usually 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on working days); Go to the Main Gate and inform security about application submission; You will be directed to Personnel Department; Submit application at the designated counter; Obtain acknowledgment receipt with date and serial number; Keep the receipt safe for future correspondence.
Option B - Send by Registered Post / Speed Post: Send the application envelope through Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due OR Speed Post only; Ordinary post applications may not be accepted; Keep the postal receipt and tracking number safe; Ensure application reaches HVF Avadi before 20 February 2026 to account for postal delays; The envelope should be properly sealed and addressed.
Important Guidelines & Instructions:
- Apply well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues
- Applications received after the last date will be rejected without intimation
- Incomplete applications or applications without required documents will be summarily rejected
- Candidates can apply for only ONE trade. Multiple applications will lead to cancellation
- Mention correct mobile number and email as all communications will be done electronically
- Keep a photocopy of the complete application with all documents for your records
- Do not attach original certificates - only self-attested photocopies
- Do not staple or pin documents - use paper clips instead
- Any cutting or overwriting in the application form should be properly attested
- Check HVF website and email regularly for updates on trade test dates
- No interim correspondence or enquiry will be entertained
- Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification
- Candidates employed in Government / PSU / Defence establishments must apply through proper channel or submit NOC
