⏳ Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years. Maximum Age: Generally 37-40 years as per Punjab Government recruitment norms (exact age limit mentioned in official notification). Detailed Eligibility Criteria for Yoga Trainer Posts
Essential Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination from a recognized Board of Education in any stream (Arts, Science, or Commerce). No minimum percentage is specified, but higher marks may be preferred during selection.
Mandatory Yoga Qualification:
Completion of minimum 1-year regular Diploma in Yoga from a recognized Institute or University. The Diploma must be recognized by UGC or State Government. Additional Qualifications (Desirable):
Bachelor's Degree in Yoga Sciences (B.Sc Yoga, BA Yoga); Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in Yoga (M.Sc Yoga, MA Yoga, PG Diploma); Diploma in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (DNYS); Certificate from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga or similar reputed institutions; International yoga school certifications.
Experience Requirements:
While experience is not mandatory, candidates with following background will get preference: Working experience in public yoga programs organized by government/NGOs; Teaching experience in schools, colleges, community centers, or yoga studios; Participation in yoga awareness campaigns, International Yoga Day celebrations; Experience in training special groups like senior citizens, pregnant women, children; Conducting yoga therapy sessions or wellness workshops.
Skills & Competencies:
Practical Yoga Skills: Proficiency in yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation, and relaxation techniques. Communication Skills: Ability to explain concepts clearly in Punjabi, Hindi, and/or English. Teaching Ability: Handle groups of 20-50 participants of diverse ages. Physical Fitness: Good health and stamina to demonstrate postures. 🎯 Selection Process
The selection process for Punjab Yoga Trainer Recruitment 2026 involves multiple stages to ensure merit-based recruitment:
Stage 1: Scrutiny of Applications
All received applications will be scrutinized by the Screening Committee of Guru Ravidas Ayurved University.
