Educational Qualification Requirements

For Professor Position:

Essential Qualifications as per UGC Regulations:

  • Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at Master's degree level in relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
  • Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
  • A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or research experience at university/national level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level
  • Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers
  • Minimum Research Score of 120 as per UGC Regulations (API Score)
  • Experience of guiding Ph.D. students (minimum 2 Ph.D. awarded)

For Associate Professor Position:

Essential Qualifications as per UGC Regulations:

  • Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) at Master's degree level in relevant subject
  • Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
  • A minimum of eight years of teaching experience in university/college and/or research experience at university/national level institutions/industries

  • Good academic record as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) at the Master's degree level in relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
  • Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET
  • OR Candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time are exempted from NET/SLET/SET

For Guest Faculty Position:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade
