Selection Process and Examination Pattern
The selection methodology varies based on the position:
For Associate Scientist 'A' and Section Officer: The selection will be through a Written Test followed by Personal Interview. The written test will assess subject knowledge, analytical ability, and general awareness. Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks in the written test will be called for interview. Final selection will be based on combined performance in written test and interview.
For Scientific Assistants (Computer & Library) and Clerks (UDC/LDC): Selection through Written Test comprising objective-type questions covering General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness. For UDC/LDC positions, a Typing Skill Test (on computer) will be conducted for candidates qualifying the written test. The typing test will be qualifying in nature.
For Electrician 'A' and 'B': Selection through Trade/Skill Test to assess practical knowledge of electrical work, safety procedures, and troubleshooting abilities. Candidates may also be required to appear for a written test covering basic electrical principles and safety norms. Interview will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.
For Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Selection will be based on Written Test (objective type) covering General Intelligence, Numerical Ability, General English, and General Awareness. Physical fitness may be assessed during document verification.
